Wow, The 7-9 Seattle Seahawks? Coupled with exactly ZERO home teams with better records in the wild card round? Clearly the divisions decide too much.

Shouldn't the Rams be using their TOs here? The Seahawks are running and using up all 40 seconds on their offensive plays.

Ouch. Awful clock management by the Rams. They completely wasted the 2 minute warning.

Looks like that yellow 1st down line was off by a half yd, but that spot was awful. Should have been 3rd and 1, not a 1st down.

Huh. I just realized you said the Rams gameplan was to ride Jackson, and I started talking about the Seahawks. Oh well, still applies for the most part.

They should have some in the playbook from when Seneca Wallace was there, but I suppose that predates Carroll. And I have the link for the field goal chart, but I don't think this lets you post links.

Do a search for 'just for kicks' on the main page to see a graph of FG accuracy.

Talking about field goal range; I know that the 35 yard line (52-53 yd FG) represents a 50% FG conversion rate. And obviously the line slopes upwards the closer you get to the end zone, and downwards as you get further away. But I wonder where that slope is steepest?

Whitehurst can move. If they have a designed QB scramble or 2, I'd dust those off.

If you were Pete Carrol, what else would you do? I think they have to ride Lynch as far as he can carry them.

"Both teams try to keep it a four point game." And that, my friends, is a two-player strategy FAIL.

Should have challenged. It would have been worth it for a 3rd down conversion. It's the first half and the TO doesn't mean that much.

Rams' gameplan = Steven Jackson + more Steven Jackson
